Problems Downloading?
The passwords were on your
download page that you were directed to. Ensure that you have entered them
exactly as they were presented to you. The best way is to cut and paste them, to
ensure accuracy.
You need to read down the
screen on the email carefully to where it talks about the New book and Book
Updates to see all the passwords listed for the different books if you are a
Trident Ultimate Cd Library Subscriber.
When you click on the link,
Adobe Acrobat should open a window and ask you for a password immediately. If
nothing happens and it just hangs.....
It could be that you do not
have the most CURRENT acrobat reader, version 7, so go to
www.adobe.com and download one for
free.
If you have done that and it
still will not work, you may have your fire wall settings or security settings
set too high. These are the most common problems.
Other problems could relate
to viruses or other corruptions on your computer or it could have something to
do with Free email - such as using Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail etc. You may need to
contact them to see if they have restrictions that would prevent you accessing
the information. If you have one of these addresses, we cannot even send you a
PDF file, because those systems will not accept them.
You could have a software
incompatibility problem, where you may be using different versions of the
programs, which may also cause it to not work.
You may also be using a
networked computer, which could also cause a problem.
The systems we use are as up
to date as currently available and have been configured to work for as many
people as possible. The systems usually work for 98% of people. Unfortunately,
for any one of the reasons above, it may not work for the other 2%.
As we are not computer
experts and we cannot see your computer, it is impossible for us to diagnose or
fix the computer problem.
You are then advised to get
a computer technician to look at the computer to ascertain the problem. You can
locate one in the Yellow Pages or online at
www.yellowpages.com.au
If you are entering a
password and it does not work, you are entering the password incorrectly. Read
the email carefully again, make sure you are typing the word exactly, no spaces
or capitals, if they are not used.
The links and passwords have
been checked, several times, on several different computers and they have worked
satisfactorily, so it is definitely a problem on your machine, which will need
to be checked out by a professional.
